Q:
"I was wondering out of the people with the all-pro front coilovers, if anyone has had a problem with cv joints or ball joints because of the additional travel they provide?"
A:
So far I have had no problems with either. I am running their uniball arms though.
Q:
"Im trying to decide if i need to get some limit straps once i get new a-arms."
A:
Not a bad idea I guess. I don't have them and have been ok thus far. I guess at full droop you run the risk of issues/damage. But I see it that at full droop you most likely have the wheel in the air, thus very little pressure on the cv to cause it to blow. My experiences with most who blow a cv have it happen due to quick/sudden changes in torque on it such as a wheel spinning and all of a sudden getting high traction or just plain too much torque in trying to climb something.
Q:
"Also, out of curiousity, how much thread is showing on the coilover and how much lift are you getting?"
A:
I still have close to 1" of thread showing and am near the 3" lift point (I'd guess 2.75" or so). I have a 3" BL (the devil) and the coil-overs and run 35"s with very minor rubbing while wheeling.
Q:
"I never measured my lift so im not sure what i'm getting with them, but i have about an 1" or so of thread showing and my inner cv's are still rubbing."
A:
My boots have rubbed since I put a spacer on and then the coil-overs. In 3+ years of beating the snot out of my truck I have replaced only the driver side inner boot twice (both times prior to the All-Pro set-up and I figure my big arse had something to do with that). Boots are cheap and the fix isn't too complicated so I don't mind it for the fun I have.
