Jon decided to take out the newly solid-axled FJ for a test run behind his cabin a few days ago to make sure everything was ready for the upcoming Clawhammer FJ Cruiser Challenge March 8th. While playing on the rocks, a friend of the company took some pictures we thought some of you who were interested in the kit would like to see. Everything is working beautifully and the kit components should be going into production very soon. This kit uses a widened version of our current Hybrid Toyota/Dana 60 axle and a hy-pinion 4.88 ARB 3rd member and 37" BFG MT/km2 tires on Walker Evans Racing 17"x8.5" beadlocks with 3.75" backspacing. This will be our first SAS offering for the FJ & 05+ Taco applications, and soon after we will begin working on an Ultimate SAS kit that features front and rear RockJock Dana 60 axles that will, if everything else works out correctly, incorporate the ABS and ATRAC systems into the conversion. Sorry, we are still working on pricing and release dates, but here is what you can expect from the kit once released. By the way, it drives beautifully on the street - so you dont have to compromise if you want to keep it as your daily driver!

And it looks even better first person... clean install/kit... I'm not an FJ fan... But I'd want this one...

Terry... Jon didn't have time to run this up in Calico ?

Your rig next ?

Seeing it in person was great. The kit is very clean and simple in design and should be very straight forward to install. The rig looks like it came from the factory like that, LOL...like that will ever happen...

nice job, AP ;)

2k is for the bracket kit and does not include the axle, steering components, or any kind of rear suspension components. so figure alot more when all said and done for a complete swap.

right, just the link/bracket kit including PH and DL but that should include the shocks as well...mine did for $2100. I imagine the Fox shocks will be a tad more $ then the WE that came in the older kits but not that much more.
That price will most likely not include anything for the rear, either.
steering box and link/joints are extra.
I believe the axle will be a Diamond yota/D60 hybrid and that will run pretty much the same as the privious hybrid...give or take a grand, LOL.
I believe the axle will also come with Brian's new sensor hardware so the atrac, abs and speedo will all work.

I'd guess around $10k for all parts needed, including the rear sus but not including wheels/tires. ...and then you add labor ;)

Labor would be the kicker. I swear, when I drove Jon's Taco at the Hammers, it was like it was a factory swap. Very nice.
