My radiator was F-d up in the accident and I drilled a hole in it when making my bumper. I bought a Modine for an automatic truck and ran my powersteering return through the auto cooler in the radiator. No problems yet and steering stays cool! The radiator was $165.

there was a thread about this somewhere, either the old board or the new board....but it basically said that the temps inside the radiator were higher than what the PS fluid runs at so you are actually making it hotter.....something to look into

The temps inside the engine are higher, but next time your truck is really hot, feel the bottom of the radiator. Very cool. I can tell that my steering box is much cooler now than before just by feeling it after a trail run. But hey, you never know for sure without scientific data. I don't care about that so I just did it and it sure seems cooler to me.

That's funny, I did the same damn thing to my radiator a few months back. I was drilling holes through a crossmember I made, and I was successful on the first hole, but on the second hole I pushed too hard on the drill, and when it broke through, the bit went straight through the radiator. I went to NAPA and got a Modine radiator, but I got it for $150.00... the girl at the counter liked me, so she gave me a discount. WOOHOO!
