Not nearly as strong. But, it is an option, as our trucks are not as heavy.Just don't expect it to survive a good spanking, unless it is really well made and designed. It would be pretty thick, and subsequently, HEAVY. For the inherent cost of having it worked, welded, etc. you might think about chromo instead. Strong as all hell, and could POTENTIALLY be made a little lighter without sacrificing strength, as long as it is well designed.wslytoy said:

does anyone here have an aluminum aftermarket bumper or ever fabricated their own bumper from aluminum? the reason i ask is because of the light weight and no rusting.I think i saw one made for a Nissan and i think tghe brand was Calmini or something.Anyways , does anyone have an aluminum bumper or light bar whether you made it or store bought it?
