sharkaholic said:alright, i called amsoil, and the sd34 won't fit ANY toyota vehicle, according to him, because it's too long. the sdf57 is the correct filter for a 2004 taco V6.
so, somebody on here needs to go back and edit there thread, cause the info you gave is wrong.
sorry for the trouble. looks like i will be returning them to the company.
ps--i would have asked $10 each

I don't think there will be anything bad about using stock filters with synth oil. but you made me think of a good point. Amsoil claimes they'll stand behind their product if you're using it according to recommended intervals. But what about when you're using the oversize oil filter that isn't really the Tacoma stock replacement? hmmmmm....sharkaholic said:damn. my fault for getting the stealership to put in the synthetic stuff when i went in. i should have checked the fitment myself. lazy bastards....
oh well, i guess these aren't for sale then. sorry for the confusion. sorry to have doubted you fellas. my bad.
with that said, is it BAD for me to be using a stock oil filter with the amsoil 2000? if so, then i will go change it out myself.
