I was at a gas station filling up and this guy in a rubicon rolled up with everything on his truck to go out to rubicon and play for weeks ( gas can, jack, air tools etc) I started looking the guys rig over and talking to him and I came across his fenders and they had been rhino lined and I asked why and he said to prevent scratches tree scratches etc.

I started thinking if I should do the same cause I keep getting brush scratches all over my truck. I can keep buffing them out but sooner or later the clear coat is gona be gone.

So have any of u guys gals done it to your rig and what parts did u coat. Got and pics and price's for what u did

IM thinking of doing the lower portion of the truck and fender flares prob fallow the line that goes from front to back on the truck and spray every part below it.

Check out barney387's Gallery in the member rigs. I have the same, actually more, protection than 1noobie covered and IT IS INVISIBLE...Find your local 3M Dealer or someone that installs Clear bra, invisible bra, etc... Lot cheaper than Rhino or LineX and you can totally remove it if you want. All My rocker panels, door panels, bed rails, hood, Fender, Bumper are protected and doesn't look like someone colored it with a magic marker...

I can almost guarentee that the 3M stuff will just tear when the Line-X wouldn't get damaged. I've leaned my truck into a rock wall and slid down it and nothing is visible, minus a slighly flatter fender.

I remember that infamous "Herculiner on my hootus" thread!! I was still on the off-road.com Toyota pickup mailing list then.

I have been wanting the have my box lined in my '04 DoubleCab and have looked at the different ones. I will probably go with Rhinoliner for the simple fact that I know the local manager and it seems just as good as the Line-X.

I'm a LINE-X dealer (and I participated in the referenced thread). LINE-X, being a blend of polyurethane and polyurea, is MUCH stronger than ANY 100% polyurethane brand such as Rhino. Let me know if you have any questions.

Here's some pics., enjoy!:

Color matched LINE-X applied to rockers and fender flares (color matched to a Suburban color that the customer wanted):

Entire exterior in red or black LINE-X, including the nerfs, wheel wells, and Ranch Hand bumpers.

LINE-X applied to rocker and flares:

All of the green is LINE-X. I did NOT pick the color!

Entire exterior in black LINE-X (with Nason for NO fading):

I did the lower line on my truck, but its not line-x. Its the blue can stuff from VatoZone. But its taken rocks and tree branches with no chiping or other damage. Looks a little sumpthin like this:

Bed and side panesl done in Durabak: http://www.nonslipcoating.com/scratchguard.htm
Also did my jack handle and gas cans in some red durabak. Holds up great, collects dirt but it cleans up.

how long have you had that on there? and did you get the UV protection? and what does it thin with?(cleanup and such)
