I've been in the corbett area working all week, and I can see into corbett and alot of the surrounding areas. Everything is wet currently but not flooded. Trail conditions are unknown and I dont know whats closed, but I would like to head out. I need to do something before I end up putting the truck back to stock :saw:

I would hope cory would be able to head out as I've been wanting to buy his jack for several months now. Anyone available ?

Well putting the truck back to stock is something I DONT want to do. But I hate to cry about gas prices, but I'm getting about 18mpg right now and I drive 45 miles each way to work, And I'm getting about 3 1/2 days to a tank right now, before lift I was getting 22mpg.... They're talking 4+ dollars before winter, it's 3.31 around the corner where I stop now. I'm spending 70 dollars a week in fuel right now, and thats if I dont do much driving on the weekend. I'm not getting out off road as much as I thought I would be, and it's getting expensive. I LOVE the way the truck looks and it goes overy just about everything right now, it's been awesome. I'll keep the locker in it, I'm liking that, i've gotten used to it and I kinda like it on the street now, the rain is fun too.... But I've got stock wheels and tires sitting in the garage, I could beg skip for my struts back  and could do a partial trade for some stock leafs. Maybe 350 for my braided brake lines, alcans, and bilstein 5125's for stock leaves and shocks.....

The other thought was to take a leaf or two out of the alcan pack, crank the coilovers back down and put the stock tires back on.... I've also considered trading it in on one of those vw golf tdi's 50mpg diesel, but I dont want a car, and the tacoma is getting better mileage than alot of other trucks out there right now, I just dont know what to do....

however, I honestly beleive that a regear would bring my mileage and performance back up. The biggest problem I think is I didnt research the load rating of the tires, I should've gotten the bfg's... My tires are HEAVY, the wheels are aluminum and they dont weigh much. I've added like 30lbs to each corner of the truck. Thats alot of added rolling weight....

The other side of me says screw it, and put the bumpers, and sliders on like I want to do.

Thats cheap, it's 3.40 elsewhere. I've seen it as low as 3.15 in places though

Geeze Anthony how much are you really going to save changing it back over? Is it really worth it? If anything just put the stock wheels on and leave the rest alone then if you go wheeling just slide the bigger tires on. Gas is around $3.09 right down the road from work. Besides all that $$$ you make just slow down get more signatures and rack up the overtime that's what I've been doing lately got around 8 hours of OT last week.Remember we get $1.00 hour raise the end of July:D. Just leave that truck alone and suck it up:D .

Just run stock wheels and tires while commuting. I was getting like 16/17 MPG on the highway after my SAS. On the way to Tellico I ran some 29" stockish street tires. I got 22 MPG, thats with 6 inches of lift and adding a solid axle air dam. Lowering it 3 inches alone wont do much, its all in tire size.

Dude, leave it be!! Don't cry, here's why...FJ takes premium, it's $3.37/gal...I get 12mpg city and can just get about 15 mpg highway....Front bumper, winch, steelies, 33" 6-ply tires, and full 3/16" under armor plating all add up!! Not to mention I carry a toolbox (150 lbs.) and air tank in the rear...I needed to cut some weight somewhere...So I went on a diet!!
