i was wondering if anyone knows a good company that sells axe and shovel mounts to attach to a tool box or on the side of the bed?

pick up some 12g, 2" steel from HD or other hardware store. bend it into shape with a BFH on a vise; drill holes, paint, install. ;)

Forget aftermarket

I have 6 modifications in my bed for storage, hauling and securing gear. Designed and did em all myself. These things can tend to be unique to the user.

Ya gotta learn to do your own fabs. Otherwise you spend more time tracking down tracking down an aftermarket product that might work, adapting your needs to the product, or modifying the product to meet your needs.

So I couldn't agree with you guys more.

I will have some extra brackets like I used for my Hi-Lift bed mount. Click my link below and you you can see the bracket. You could easily adapt it to hold whatever you need.
