The Best Western in Gold Canyon has offered a 10% discount to our group. Even so it will be more expensive to stay there then the Blue Mist Motel in Florence. The Best Western is about 20 minutes or so to the AZRocks camp site and meeting spot for each days trail runs.

The Blue Mist Motel is located right on Hwy 79 just 10.5 miles from the campsite (10 Minutes or so away). Their room rates are as follows. 1 peeps 1 bed $45, 2 peeps 1 bed $55, 2 peeps 2 beds $65, and EACH ADDITIONAL PERSON $10, NO PETS. This looks like an older motel, from what I could tell it looked to have been recently renovated as the room we saw was pretty nice and the pool area looked well kept. It is very close to old town Florence. Just a stones throw away is a Chevron with quiki mart, a Big-O tire, and a very new McDonalds. Alright, so from what I have read hear and the AZ board, it sounds like the Blue Mist is the recomended location due to the shorter distance and pricing. Although the Best Western does look much more inviting from the pictures, I assume I'll be a little busy to take full advantage of the Billiards and darts. I think I'll go with the closer choice of the Blue Mist.
