I have that exact tire on my 01 Double cab, 275/70/16....BFG A/T. Mine fit with no prob, & ride great. They are just a tick wider than stock but almost the same diameter....so no gearing issues.
Not sure about the clearance on your 05, but I can't imagine that is would be any less than I have. Great tires....I did notice that I had to pay a little more for the "metric" size, but they are worth it. :xbeer1:

Try www.BFGoodrichtires.com they have some nice charts & a neat little Off road tire size tool to mess around with.

I am not worried about clearance..I am putting on the 2.5" toytec kit to

I just want a 32x11.50 and they dont make standard sizes in 16 :( booooooo

So I am trying to figure what is going to be the closet to that size cause I had the 32x11.50 on my 2000 tacoma and I liked them alot. I was going to do 305/70/16 but I really like the stock rims and dont want aftermarket ones so I am gonna stay a little smaller..i like the thicker look..i hate skinny lookin tires

I think they fill out the wheel well nicely. It's the biggest tire you can have on a stock ride. I think they are basicly 31.5 x 10.50 but I may be mistaken. The ride is about the same as the stock tires were. I haven't felt any difference in the ride. The do have a beefier look to them.

Seriously, like tbrown said, save your money and get the 265 75r16's, which are a metric 32. They cost MUCH less, as they are the most popular size.

275/70 16's are not 11.5 inches wide. They are 11 inchs wide and thats on an 8 inch rim your rims are 7. If you put 265/75 16's on an 8 inch rim they measure 10.7 inches wide. 0.3 inches is hardly noticable. The wider the your rims the more your tire will flair which will give you the look I think your after. Seriously you will not notice much of a difference in width between the 265/75's and the 275/70's. Plus the 265/75's fill out the wheel well better, give you better ground clearence, and are much cheaper. Attached is a link to my truck. I have 265/75's. See what you think. ;)

I think 285/75R16 is much closer to 32x11.5 than the 275 or the 305. 275 is more like 31 and 305 is more like a 33x12.5

I have BFG AT 285/75R16 and the first I do when I got them? I get a tape and yeah, it's closer 32 than 33 and 11.3 total width with 16x8 wheels.

If it helps

phand00, did you lose much power with the 285's?

Do you think you will need to regear, with your V6 engine?

How much did your gas mileage suffer?

I'm trying to figure what tires to get for my rig. The 285's seem interesting:)

Hi Trvlngnrs,

No regear and not too much power looses. At least for me it's ok. It's a truck, not a race car! Anyway, to help you more, I noticed some power loose on highway at high speed when you get up a big hill with some charge behind... For gas milleage? If you don't play too much with throttle, nothing to be scared! Maybe around 2mpg! It's still less than a tundra with stock tires...

I have a set ot Toyo AT in 275 for winter and really winter weather do worst on gas milleage than my 285. And 275 are really too near of 265 to worth it. It's my opinion!

Hope it helps!

Well, here's my $5.02 (inflation, again)

I know where 05yota4x4 is coming from. There's a certain look I know I want, and close enough is definitely NOT close enough. I know I want a couple of inches of lift with 32x11.5's, even if I have to go to 15's. I've seen it, I know I like it. IF I decide to spring for some gears, I want the smallest lift that will fit 33x12.5x16's with 16x10's. I've spent hours looking at pics and comparing tires specs and no matter how you slice it, a 265 or 275 doesn't LOOK like a 32x11.5. You might think that that 3/8 or 1/2 of an inch in the specs won't make a difference, but it does. ESPECIALLY when you're talking about tread width. On the other hand...I'm pretty picky and I won't settle because I know in the end I won't be happy with it.
I do wish they made a true 32x11.5x16. I think they'd sell tons of'em, with my purchase being the first couple hundred pounds...

Yeah mine is stock. If you have three inches of lift you could fit 33x11.5 easy. 35's will rub most likely though! With 33's though you may want to re-gear, and put in some 4.56's.
