Over the last few weeks I have learned so much from posting and reading this board. The suspension talk has really stepped up in here. I can’t thank all you guys and girls enough for all your feed back, Ideas and private messages on your suspension wishes. We have had several meetings in the last few weeks here at Donahoe Racing discussing a lot of things brought up on this board by all of you and have made some changes to our plans for 2005 and new product releases. So on that note here are some things coming down the pipeline from Donahoe Racing for the Toyota Tacoma and all of you TTORA members.

1) EXTREME WEATHER PLATING. On our next run of Coil-Overs (February release) we will offer an Extreme weather shock. Being from So-cal my whole life we have never really thought about salt on the road and snow. It just doesn’t happen here. So we started talks with an aerospace plating company that produces a non-corrosive plating that lasts at the bottom of the ocean for years. This shock plating will be an option on any coil-over shock we make and will be backed with a lifetime guarantee against rusting or binding the coil adjuster due to exposure. So if you live in a mild climate you can stick with the cad plating for more extreme weather go with the new stuff. The cost for the extreme weather shocks will run about 50.00 more due to the high tech plating process.

2) REAR SIGNATURE SERIES SHOCKS. Mid March we will be releasing our new rear 2” reservoir shocks for all years of the Tacoma 4wd and pre-runner. These shocks will have the same Nitro steel shaft, digressive piston, extreme weather plating and specific valving that our 2.5” coil overs have. These shocks bolt into the factory mounts and will allow enough wheel travel to fully articulate a Deaver spring. That is about 4” of wheel travel over a Bilstien 5100. We are shooting for a retail cost of 199.00per shock.

3) SPANNER WRENCHES. All our coil-overs now have our new double sided spanner wrenches in the box with the shocks at no extra cost.

4) THE GOLDEN TICKET. Has any one seen Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory? Remember how they put golden tickets in the chocolate bars and who ever found them got to tour the chocolate factory? Well we are going to one up Willy Wonka and this is only for active participants in TTORA. This is the deal. For any TTORA member across the country (USA only) that purchases a Donahoe Racing coil-over kit from Jan1st 2005 to September 30th 2005 will be eligible to win and all expense paid trip to ride off the starting line for the first 200 miles in the Toyota Tacoma Race Truck and help Donahoe Racing defend its Baja 1000 Championship in Ensenada, Mexico this coming November. Air line tickets (if applicable), Hotel rooms, Race suit, helmet, Donahoe Racing Team cloths, and all meals will be covered for you and one guest (the guest will not ride in the race truck but be a part of the chase team). This is how it works. Step 1: Every Donahoe Racing Product we sell comes with a warranty information card in the box. Fill that out and send it in. Step 2: In the SPONSORS PROMOTION Section on this message board you will find a thread called “Donahoe Racing Golden Ticket” you go to that thread and post your NAME and the SERIAL NUMBERS of the shocks you purchased (this way we can make sure the winner is an active member of TTORA.) We will cross reference those numbers posted with the numbers on the warrantee card. here is the link to that thread -- http://www.tacomaterritory.com/forum/showthread.php?p=33836#post33836 Step 3: In October 2005 at the Off-Road Expo Ivan “Ironman” Stewart will draw the lucky warrantee card for the winner.

I thought we needed to do something for all the support we have received from TTORA. So the best thing I could think of was a trip to Baja. What do ya think? Any questions?

Please keep us informed on the release on the new plating as I am in the market for coilovers and I'm in the geographical area that would possibly require it. I was originally thinking about going with kings but after all the reviews and recomindations here on the forum and Jasons recomendation looks like you have sold to me when funds allow.
Jason if you read this will you be taking preorders? Any ideas on a package deal for coilovers and rear shocks? Also maybe a complete set with springs too as my month old new springs are already showing signs of trouble.

Thanks a LOT for the rear shock note. I Almost fried myself last week welding when the rain hit, installing a rear shock carrier. It is OVER. I'll install your shocks instead. This is the best post I think I have ever seen. PERIOD.

Kreg, this is great news. That new plating sounds like just one more feature to add to the list that sets your product apart in the market. The rear shocks will be awesome too I'm sure, in fact might have to get a pair to retrofit to my 4runner.

BTW: The golden ticket idea is brilliant.

Keep up the good work!

Jesse & I will be in san Felipe for the 250 are you guys heading down this year? If so racing or just spectating?

The extreme weather plating is just the ticket for me... it's -32C right now without the wind! And that salt on the road really messes things up!

When will the Canadian distributor have access to the products? I plan on getting everything from him as he is only about 20 minutes away...

Man, I NEED MORE MONEY!!! haha I think by the time summer passes I'll have it. :)

Last week when I was reading thethread that pretty much resulted in Camburg vs Donahoe I was wonderin about the Nitro Steel shafts vs chrome shafts because if Donahoe had rear nitro steel shafted shocks...hmmm...haha...lets just hope.

So by using the donahoe rear shocks with deavers, you should be getting +5" of travel over stock? I was confused by 'articulation' (like one wheel on a big rock) and 'travel' when you used them both. Tacomas get what, 7-8" stock, so you should be getting about 12" of rear wheel travel more or less?

Might as well ask, any photos avalible of the new sig series shocks?
