Johnson Valley was sick! OMG, I've never seen so much mud.......did Clawhammer with the guys I was meeting there, and then they had to jet, so I went on a solo mission to see where sledgehammer was at... I'd never done that one before sooo..........and seeing how I found it, and well, I have this new winch, and a slightly capable rig, I said what the hell....
Got some pretty sweet shots, so hardcore hang-ups on my diff, and got lost.....but ended up back on the road around 8pm, started the trail at 1pm....that is the coolest trail.....All I broke was my front diff cap, but I put a hole an inch by inch in the lower section....no more fluid and I still had another couple miles to do.......thank god that AMSOIL is some good stuff....I didn't feel like taking the time to put my spare diff cover on so it ran dry for awhile, but everything was good!
Scrape carnage took it's toll on both drivelines, trac bar (rear driveline skid, thank god), t-case, all crossmembers, axles, diffs, backplates, knuckles, cats, muffler, rims, and every other piece of metal under the truck.....oh and a wee bit of body damage on the rear by my tail light...
I did it alone, however, I don't recommend it....(I had a sleeping bag, plenty of food and water, a winch, straps, and a capable rig)....and I had to work my ass off....Winched 4 times, hi jacked once, and stacked and un-stacked rocks 3 times.....It's always easier with more peeps
Anyway, that was my day trip to the hammers..... :xsmash:
