2002 taco 4x4.

Just put in the RB 2" Bl and it's hard as hell to put in 2nd. Took the console off and the boot is all smashed when trying to put in second gear. 4hi/lo is fine (all the other gears to). Any ideas?

you have a inner shifter boot?with the metal ring?you will need to remove that steel ring thang.or trim to fit.some cut the hole bigger and buy a bigger rubber shifter boot.

Remove the bottom rubber shifter boot and trim the center cross bar out of the metal ring. This will improve shifting. To make it work perfect you may need to notch the tranny hump, or bend the shifter a small amount.
