Well I built my first set of sliders for my buddies 88' runner. This past summer I built a front and rear bumper for my truck. I'm trying to get in some practice before this summers SAS. These are made out of 2"x2"x3/16". Heavy stuff.

Here is a pic of some welds. I'm pretty sure that they are strong enough, since the metal was glowing blue after I finished the welds. Just got the argon/co2 gas... Sooo much nicer than fluxed core, but still trying to make a better bead. :welder:

Here it is being pieced together.

Here they are after welding till five in the moring. A bowl of cereal around 2:30am is was enough motivation to keep me going.

Alan cleaning the frame for welding.

Converting the work truck into a paint booth.

We decided to go with the tilt (about 25 degrees).

Some random dude that was rolling down the street... Stupid stoner!!!

Hope you enjoyed.

yeah, I hear that. I bought the welder this summer and have loved it ever since. Next in line for the tool collection is a plasma and a nice tube bender. For know I use cutting torch and this old school hydrolic bender. Can't complain since it was free. As for the sliders I'm trying to get the guy to go wheelin with me so he can test them out.

Here is a pic of the bender.

Looks nice. I like the angled supports between the 2 main pieces. Nice touch.
