long story short, ordered spacers back in August of 2003. never got them and have yet to get a refund after numerous promises. i think i've already spent more on that making calls to his cell phone in Texas that the $50 for the stupid spacers.

sharing the story is the only thing that makes this not a complete loss - BUYER BEWARE.

Ralph doesnt even come on the boards anymore. Personal issues are forcing him to sell the truck. I have heard the story from him personally. I will try to contact him about it but I cannot garuntee anything. Ralph is a great guy. You are probbaly the only one that has ever had a problem with him. Anyway, it is all a moot point since Ralph is no longer an active member of the club.

unfortunately, he chose to not own up to the sale about a year before he started having family issues and left the boards. after an absence, he was on the boards again recently (see above link), so it's not entirely moot. funny about how i keep hearing what a great guy he is from all his friends. i try and treat everyone with respect.

looks like you got burned. i would just forget about your $50.00 doesnt look like your going to get it. everyone keeps talking about his personal problems. why should his problems become yours, all you did was try to help the guy out by purchasing some spacers. oh well, some of us take pride in a transaction over the net while others dont really give a F.

NO - you're wrong.

1. I posted that I wanted to buy spacers.

2. Someone contacted me that they had won a certifacte for spacers from Ralph, and I bought the certificate from them for $50.

3. I sent the certificate to Ralph (he knew I paid for the certificate) and he told me there was a wait on the machinist. That part was fine and I understood it was out of his hands. However, he was getting pissed at the machinist for the backorder.

4. Meanwhile, another thread was started by another buyer of spacers that Ralph wasn't coming through on their order, and there were a few more posts along those lines on that thread from other members that hadn't gotten their spacers. Ralph posted that the welder was still out and that he waspissed but that they would have them soon. According to their posts, they eventually got their spacers after a few weeks. I never got mine.

5. Ralph said mine were on the way. After a few more weeks, Ralph said he quit making them and was going to refund the money I spent.

I see no distiction between buying the certificate or spacers. I still paid $50 out of my pocket for promised work/goods. Why don't you read through the threads again and count up the times he told me the refund was in the mail (I can foward you plenty of emails too), then tell me how I'm in the wrong. I would still be happy with spacers so I could offset the cost.

Is it really worth all the hassle? Everyone gets burned once in a while .50 cents or 50 bucks it happens, learn from it and move on. His personal problems may have led to him not paying but I think you've made your point, I know if my wife and I were having problems your 50 bucks would be the last thing on my mind....

dude, i would have let it go long ago if i didn't keep getting "the check is in the mail, look for it tomorrow" about 50 times. it's one thing to get burned and then let it go - it's another to get strung along like that.

50 cents or 50 bucks is not the concern- its the principle- Creed has already stated it was not an isssue of money

If Ralph was having domestic problems- and could not refund the money in a timely manner- keeping the other party informed costs nothing- People will understand as long as you explain the situation instead of ignore it-

Unless your from the old board and had to start a new account, I don't think you have any right to bust up in here flappin about how he should let it go. The dude got burned, and that SUCKS. 50 bucks goes a long way for me and whether its two weeks or two years, I would want my 50 bucks back too!! good luck man

I'll agree with you that he was totally justified in posting his comments but I still stand by what I said because it was just advice, nothing more nothing less, we all need to stop taking this stuff to heart and realize that this is the "real world" and people get screwed all the time, he himself said he has "spent more money in making calls" Ok, so now it's 50 bucks plus cell plus time plus whatever. the point was made and I just gave advice, if I'm wrong in speaking my mind then sorry I offended you guys and take that for what it's worth.

I do feel your advice to Creed is out of place (In This buyer seller ratings)-
Reread the original post by Creed- It is brief, honest & objective. He makes no mailicious comments or personal attacks to Ralph- He simply explains the poor transaction. I think creed would have left it at that, end of story.
