The rear cargo area carpet has shrunk so much in my 88 4Runner that I cannot fold the seats down without ripping the carpet or breaking the tabs that secure it to the floor/back of the seats. Has anyone ever had this problem and replaced the carpet? Where would you find something like that?

I thought about Rhino-Lining it but I do sleep back there on occasion and would like to keep it padded like it is now.

Try J.C. Whitney. They usually have a decent selection.

I've got blue marine astroturf carpeting in my 86 Runner. just be thankful you don't have that.
have you thought about cutting the carpet at the bottom of the seat so that you can lay the seat forward without causing it to bind up on you?

I'd rather not do that because sometimes I throw wood and stuff back there too and it would fall behind the seats and under them and make a mess.

gotcha. I don't put much in the back of mine since I have the tacoma to haul wood. JC Whitney has carpets for our trucks but it looks like it cost about $400.

Here is another place. I just found them the other day, and they are the only place I have found that has carpet/vinyl for my 82.
