When I lifted my truck (2") I dropped the carrier bearing 3/4", but it's still not perfectly aligned with the pinion, so my question is, if I drop the carrier bearing even more to make the angle correct, won't this make the angle of the u-joint at the rear of the tranny really steep, and cause vibration there? I've hear of people dropping the carrier several inches, has anyone had problems from this much of drop?? Should I just forget the whole carrier bearing and get some shims for the rear leafs?

That big thing in the middle of your driveshaft, thats called a double cardon joint. That helps to eliminate vibrations caused by non-linear driveshaft angles. What you need to be more worried about is the angle at the pinion. I'd throw a 2° shim under the leaf springs and call it a day. After you get that shim in there, then see if you still need that spacer on the center support bushing.

i lifted my rear with a 2.5 aal. mine started vibrating immediately. it was real bad at 20-30 mph then it would stop. i lowered my carrier with a 1.5 inch spacer. i still have a tiny bit of vibration at take off but that is all. but i would still like to get the correct shims and take that spacer out. tell me where to get mine also, along with the correct degree.

take out those washers and add some shims. 1 degree/inch of lift is about right.
RB makes them, around $25 for the kit.

rs8125. these were rancho shims. they had a bunch. i just typed in shims on their search bar. hytenor, is that 1 degree per one inch of lift?

right, but that's an approximate #. the best way to be sure is to measure your actual angle. You are trying to get a 0* angle with the truck at rest, unloaded and on a level surface.

The set you found is probably aluminum. Steel wedges are better and won't corrode like the Al will...its that 'dissimilar metal' corrosion problem ;)
