hey all,

07 Tacoma Prerunner, if i listen to my CD player for about 30 mins or so, it will start skipping and then pretty much quit playing. if i take the CD out, its really hot, which is not uncommon for a CD player, but the damn thing quits working so i have to switch to radio for like 15 mins or so (long commute) before being able to use the CD player normally.

anybody else have this problem?

factory cd player?
-replace with aftermarket.
yeah, factory cd player....all my jeeps had a small tape deck which could be replaced with a 1DIN Cd player, but this toyota cd player takes up a huge amount of dash, how could i put an after market one in that big ass space? anybody have a pic of that?

This is why you have a warranty. They will replace it for free. It should not do this.

i guess i might as well get it looked at....

surfing drunk, thanks for the link, i like the way they made that dash mount kit and i definitely like my aftermarket cd player better (its comin out of the jeep, cuz the jeep has no top, dont want it to get stolen)

might look into those depending on the price.
