Funny that you posted this recently. I just purchased a 20gig ipod, and i was able to purchase a $10 cable that connects it to my stereo in my taco. I have an aiwa deck, what you need to look for is a video/md input on the front. that is your best bet, otherwise you will have to go through the back of the deck. IPOD's are sweet if you dont have one yet you should deffinetly get one. No more CD's.

I have heard that there are a few with a pair of RCA plugs or a "headphones" input on the front of the head unit, however I know on mine, there is an AUX input in the back (two RCA plugs...) which I could go to Ratshack, and put an adapter, like this one: http://www.radioshack.com/product.asp?catalog%5Fname=CTLG&product%5Fid=42-2550 and then keep the headphone-like cord in the cubby right below the radio or somewhere else, When i'm not using it, I could tuck it away. Could always be an option. Just my .02

my clarion dxz945mp has aux inputs that i connect my ipod to. it sounds 10x better than using an fm transmitter.

Any head unit with Aux in will work with your iPod. Alpine has a interface for the iPod that will allow the iPod to be controlled from the head unit. Which is really night.. Those little screens are hard to read while on the road...
