Check engine light = 1997 Tacoma

Just a little information for anyone with a future check engine light & 0301 misfire code..

Remember one thing.. Keep it simple.

I replaced spark plug wires, because this has happened before and it was the wires.. Once I figured out this wasn't the issue, I called on some friends for help.
Joe came by and we tried the coils, with no luck, and replaced the plugs for good measure.. but when this didn't help the issue, we decided it might actually be the crank shaft sensor, so I tackled that and it wasn't the issue either..

So a couple days later, Joe and I were at our last idea, and the simplest to boot... Joe messed with the injector connection on number one cylinder.. BAM.. problem solved!

IT WAS A BAD CONNECTION!!! :nerd:

I'm so glad Joe tried that, so next time guys.. Keep it simple is my moto.

if the parts are old or require replacement on any P0300 misfire code I would have done the same Yames. on your own junk it is easy to justify .....explaining all the parts to a client to get to the failure is well lets say ...difficult lol thinking inside the box pays off !
