SS, What are your thoughts on replacing the throwout bearing for the first time at 225K miles, now on second clutch, first clutch done at 150K miles w/ AISIN kit and flywheel was resurfaced per my notes. I didn't replace the throwout. Now at 225K miles so clutch due sometime soon.Depending on the shop, you are looking at $350-500 in parts and $750-900 in labor. I do clutch work on the side if you happen to live in the Los Angeles area.
I misspoke. I didn't replace the rear main seal. You didn't replace the throwout during the clutch install? That is the hardest working bearing in the clutch assembly. Change it!
