I've got an 02' airbox that i want to run on my truck. I need to convert to the newer style MAF sensor. Will my 96' style MAF wire harness just plug in to the new style MAF sensor, or do i need to obtain a whole new wiring assembley to accept the late model MAF? Whats the best way to do this?

Also, dose anyone have an ideas on finding an resonably priced late model MAF?

Thanks for the help.

You will have to change the pin order on the plug. It will physically plug in but the wires are in a different order.

Then you will have to recalibrate the sensor with a device like the FTC or along those lines. I doubt it will have the same calibration. That is most likely why Toyota changed the pin order so it won't work on purpose.

Thanks for the reply Gadget.

So, can anyone confirm this? I'd like to stay away from recalibrating the sensor if possible, just for cost and simplicity reasons.
