Was curious if anyone else has questioned this. My 94 had a fan off the crankshaft and I thought about swapping out the fan for an electric one. Never got around to it. My new 06 Tacoma has the same system. Wondering if the weight savings, horsepower gain isn't worth it or if keeping this the same is something that is better for off-roading. I did a search and didn't find anything but it could be what I thought it'd be listed under. Thanks.

my buddy did it on his old pathfinder and hated it. personal opinion i guess.

Check my CarDomain. The e-fan is a good mod if you do it right. Helps HP, helps MPG, makes the A/C colder, it's quieter than the stock fan, and it keeps the engine cool in all working condtions. Plus the fan can be turned off, which is handy if you're crossing deep water.
