Cruise Moab - Kokopelli Run 2018 With Fixed Link!!!

Last May I took my SAS 2004 Tacoma DC to the TLCA Cruise Moab 2018. 7 days, 4 states, 2200 miles, 150 miles offload and overall a trip of a life time for my 10 year old boy and I. I don't have a ton of pictures but I finally finished up sorting through all the video I took. Take a look and let me know what you think.

The Short answer is no. There is no build thread.

For the first time I had a shop do the work for me. But in the end it was top notch work and worth every penny. The shop was WFO Concepts in Northern CA. They have a really awesome Tacoma SAS kit. It sits really low and rides awesome on the road and off the road. I had a traditional leaf sprung SAS 99 Tacoma regular cab before this and it rode like crap compared to this.

Here are the basics for the build.

2004 Toyota Tacoma Double Cab TRD 4x4
- Stock engine, Automatic Trans and T-case (currently waitlisted for Marlin Crawler Tacobox)
- 35x12.50 r17 BFG KM2’s (Currently waiting for 37” BFG KM3’s)
- WFO Concepts SAS swap using a HP D44
- 12” King Coil Overs
- Pro Comp Air Bumps
- ARB front Air Locker
- Tacoma TRD rear axle with E-Locker
- 63” Chevy Rear Springs
- All Pro Offroad Front Bumper
- Smittybuilt XRC 9.5K winch with Synthetic Rope
- Custom rear bumper and swing out using RuffStuff Specialties bumper kit (built in my garage)
- Tepui Kukenam Ruggedized 3 person tent
- 50qt ARB Fridge Freezer
- 4gal RotoPax for Water and Fuel

WFO Concepts is they place to go if you are looking to SAS you Tacoma please give them a call if you want a bad ass Tacoma!

Thanks for replying! Wow, I love the way your truck looks. If you don't mind me asking, what did they charge you? I'm assuming they did the rear suspension too. Did you keep the OEM rear axle? And the front axle, is that from like an old Wagoneer or something like that? I'm very new to all of this SAS talk.
I was thinking of going with a leaf sprung set up because of the cost, do you think they would be able to do that?

Well, I'll leave the official quote to WFO. But I'll give you an idea. Mine was approximately 40 hours of labor, but I dropped it off on a monday and picked up and drove it home 4 days later! The whole cost really depends which specific parts you use, ie. which coils, Bump stops, locker, etc.

Follow the link I posted above to their website and check out their SAS page for an idea on the main parts.
