I want to raise my '98 4X4 ex cab about 2.5-3 inches with a suspension lift, but have heard many problems occur if you don't have the relocation kit to keep cv's in stock geometry. Anyone know of a decent kit that includes front, rear, and relocation part. Doesn't have to be the full blown off road kit, the most off road I go is the parking lot of some ATV riding areas, but I want to at least look like I do, thanks

You should be fine with 2.5 lift. 3" is pushing it. The only way to really tell is if you look at the fins of your inner boot. If they are touching then you are too high for cv's. Oh and with only that much lift the only other option to lower your diff(this is what you do when you "relocate your cv's" for better angles) is to do a diff drop. Most people don't feel like a diff drop does much for the angles of the CV's since it only pivots the diff and doesn't drop it completely. The complete drop down kits you are talking about I think come in 4" 5" and 6". Nothing less. here read this article:

edit: Do you have ADD or manual hubs? To go into 4WD do you have to get off the truck and lock the wheels?
