Right off the bat, they are immediately dismissing the 70's shafts simply on spline count, when diameter and neckdown are just as important, if not more so.
Additionally, they aren't acknowledging the difference in pinion shaft diameter and ring gear diameter, both of which give the advantage to the 70.
