Hey all,
I am currently tring to pull my stereo out (pineer dh-4600mp) in order to connect up an aux adapter to the back. I didnt install the deck myself the first time so this is my first time taking apart the dash. I have all the knobs and that plate off and all 4 screws. Now i got the black housing part most of the way off but it snags at the bottom by the ash tray and the lighter. I have the ash tray out. I was gettin the info from the custom tacos site but it doenst say anthing about this. anyone know how to fully get that part off in order to get to the stereo pieces?

so did you take the screws off from the ac controls. Also I think there is a screw behind the ashtray after you take it out. I'm at school now so I can't check for you. But I recall that there was a screw on the bottom and it is held in by clips. But only the black housing should come off. hope this helps

there are a total of 3 screws in the center portion that have to come out, 2 up top and one below teh ash tray, then you need to pull the top out and work your way down, there is a clip on the drivers side right below teh cig lighter, just pull and it will fall out. you can unplug all this stuff and even teh airbags, dont be shy they wont blow up on you.

Did you already take off the piece under the black part. I am talking about the one with the aux power outlets. A pushpin on each side holds it in. Other than that, just push down on the bottom of the black piece and pull it at the same time.
