how much more shock travel is there with the 7-leaf (~2" lift) leaf pack?

i have new Bils on rear already but with stock leafs on my 2002. can i extend my shocks 2" by TIG'ing on new eyelets to bottom of shock?

i guess what i'm asking is, do the 5100 Bils that are sold for the Deaver pack have more travel in the rod or is the shock body just 2" longer?

thanks

with the 5100 bilsteins most places are selling for this leaf pack. they only have ~8-8.5" travel, approx 2" more that oem travel. DeMello says with a relocation and longer shock the leaf pack can get ~12" travel....

i'm hearing mixed emotions about the Deaver 7-leaf packs, i'm hearing "too stiff", and "pretty soft"

i need a good comparison relative to stock leaf pack. i'm after a 2" lift and softer in the rear.

and what about Doetsch-Tech shocks (i know they have soft valving), but not as pricey as Bilstein.

anyone ??
