Since Deavers take away some of the payload, would it be wise to install the overload spring on the stock springs or would that defeat the purpose on what the deavers are designed to do? If i decided to go with a shackle lift would the ride quality change much? I have a 2002 V6 TRD 4x4 with donahoes. Thanks.

do not add the overload to the deavers, they were not designed for it.

and a shackle is a shackle, it will not chnage the ride, just the pivot point will be lower

Deaver Makes 8 and 9 leaf packs that will hold more of a payload then their standard 7 leaf. Demello has them listed on his site or I am sure you can contact deaver and they can give you more detail as to exactly what they are capable of.

On side not I would advise agains the shackle. They will wear out your springs faster. If you need more lift then what teh deavers provide you should check out the all-pro springs. I have heard nothing but good things about them.

I just combined 2 tacoma leaf packs together with a long downey aal and a short procomp aal. The ride is definately stiffer, but i tow and haul a lot of crap all the time and i cant believe how much better the ride is, no bouncy bouncy shit like before, just stout. Raised me 3.5".
