We hope to have skid plates in 4 weeks ready to ship out. (dates are subject to change).

We are taking pre-orders on our new skid plates. They will be much like the one featured on http://www.octacoma.com/skidplates.html The biggest differnce will be these new skid plates will be lazer cut and machine bent. They will also have a cool DO logo on the front of the skid.

I don't have any pictures of the finished product but they will be awesome!

You can pre-order yours now thru [email protected] the starting price for the first 10 purchased will be 400.00 after that the price will go up some. I already have 2 pre-ordered.

If you have any questions feel free to ask.

I had a downey prerunner skid plate similar to that on and we had to take it off every time for an oil change. Ended up replacing the bolts a few times, what a hassle. Can you get one with a pre-cut hole for the oil drain plug?

Will they work with a 3" body lift? If you have to modify it to fit how bad will it be? If you make the changes how much extra would you think it would run?
No the body lift should not effect the skid plate, it will fit fine. Once I have some back I will being doing a full write up and installation on them. Along with pictures to show how they mount.

I could do a precut hole for the oil pan, but then you would run the risk of a stick jamming up inside there?

the plate part of the skid plate is all the needs to come off and it's made from 1o gauge steel so it's not too heavy.

Will these skidplates make it eaiser to do oil changes? Instead of droping to the whole plate do you get a panel that you just take off to gain access to the oil filter? thanks.

Jason-
That's pretty good looking. Why does the skid-plate drop down so far (ok, not that far) below the frame-rails? Does the radiator really hang that low? Any plans to offer a version with a lighter-weight aluminum skid-plate? You could market it more towards the bolt-on prerunner crowd...
This year I want to build both a prerruner front bumper that bolts up and a aluminum skid plate. I just need time to work on it.

And yes the radiator on the auto's hand down that far. The 5spd is a little less but it's more cost effective to make a one size fits all.

SO if I order one of your skid-plates for my PreRunner, it won't bolt right up?
How much for the custom PreRunner job?
