I was looking at the Demello Site and was trying to find some info on them. Do any of you have some good pics on what he has done. I do not want the rock crawler ones that he has. I saw a pic under the 7 leaf Deaver pack, and want to see some better pics of that design. Thanks for any info.

You should just drive to his shop since you're in So Cal and have him install them on your truck so you can see it first hand :welder: :D

I don't know if I'm legally binded not to show his pic, but here's one after Jason and co. installed them

I suck at this internet stuff....pic is here http://community.webshots.com/photo/237734949/237734949jUrwTQ

as far as I know. DO has one standard remount. /\

He can do whatever you want though.

If you do any hauling, i'd go with atleast an 8 leaf spring pack.

I have my shocks mounted in a swept back | |, and I love how it rides and flexes, with the 12" shortbody 7100's I am maxed out with the leafs at 12" of Droop (sp?), Bumpstop to bumpstop, with 1.5" left on the shock.
This is with a deaver 8 leaf pack.

Call or email Demello Offroad they have an amazing amount of information.

I have demellos shock mounts / \ with 12" shortbody 7100's, Deaver 7-leaf pack, progressive bumpstops & limit straps. The flex and wheel travel is amazing. I dont think you could notice the ride difference | | vs / \.

Take a look http://photos.yahoo.com/blinkin2000/

If you want larger/better pics email/PM me.

hope this helps with your decision. Go with demello, you wont go wrong.

That sounds like how I have mine set up right now. I do have the 8 leaf pack. The only problem with mine is that it is welded on top of the frame and the welds are starting to crack. Do you have any pics of yours?

That sounds like the same set up I have. I do have the 8 leaf pack also. The problem that I am having is that my mounts on top of the frame and the welds are starting to crack. Do you have any pics?

I do have pictures, BUT the nowwgasa.net is going through an overhaul so they are unavalable at this time.

The way we did my mound is, we boxed in the frame where the cross bar hit the frame, then welded a 2x2 .120 piece of stock between the rails with the tabs on that.

If i break this mound/the welds... I will prob need a new truck.

I personally do believe that there is a large difference between the two config's. with the /\ setup someone is more prone to body roll. Also in an even straight down compression the /\ will have more resistance than || does. I just don't like the idea of compressing a triangle, even though two of the sides are able to change lenght.

There are +'s and -'s to each. With the || setup, esp how I have mine setup, I am not using the full potential of the valving (255/70), but I have amazing flex. 12" of droop with another 1.5" of shock. So if I get the springs redone I'll end up with ~13" of travel with 1/2" of shock left unused in both compression and expansion. I've seen/heard of people not limiting their suspeionsion, which will cause the shock (if the springs have more droop than the shocks... or poor sertup) to pull apart, or they will not stop the suspension from compressing and the shocks will become the bumpstops before the bumsptops do, again a big issue.

I can honestly not comment if I have more body roll with the /\ setup becasue I have never used it on my truck. IMO for how my truck is setup and it is used, the || works awesome.

If I could I would go with a || setup that would go perpendicular from the axle through the bed, or even angled forward slightly, but that is just not feasable right now, though would get amazing travel.

Each person has their own likes and dislikes on what feels good and whatnot.

If you are near Escondido (Socal) I would be more than welcome to take you for spin both on and offroad with my setup. For the /\ setup, I am sure someone would let you ride in theirs to get a true test which feels best to you.

I am in Orange County. I do not need a test ride because I have similar set up. I limited mine to 11" of travel with bump stops because my 33's would rub too much on the body. I had the 255/70 valving, but softened them after I put the LT in the front. Not sure what the valving is but it works great. I have the 8leaf pack that is about 2.25" over stock and the Downey shackles. I would like to get 13" of travel. Are you still able to keep your spare tire in the stock location? How much did your mount cost. Could you show me pics when your site is back up?

No the spare is in the bed, soon to be on the offroad rack, or a swingout.

when the site is up, I'll try to post.

Most likely, I'll do a general post about new stuff, etc.

Unfortunetly I talked to the co. that was holding my domain name and they informed me that for some 'internet rule' that I can't use it for a month.. :( i'll do my best to get it up faster.
