Having read somewhere that Detroit decided to make a True Trac for the 8.4" rear end I thought I would try to get a part number to price one and lookie what I found....they now have the ever famous Detroit Locker for the 8.4"! Part # 1875-199A. Am I reading this correctly?

Looks like you are reading it correctly, except that the Locker part number is 187S, not 1875.

I don't know why they have the axle listed under 4-cylinder and 6-cylinder, as the axles are the same.

From their notes, it looks like a new case is included, so that could make these far more expensive than the Lock-Right, and probably more expensive than the No-Slip.

I would like to see the yield strength of these to know if they are stronger than the No-Slip.

I would hope around $300, to make it competitive with the No-Slip.

I would like to see its torque-yield rating so I can decide if it is even a remote option should I explode the No-Slip.
