Well I just noticed an oil spot under my truck. After taking the skid plate off, it turns out that the passenger side of the diff is leaking between the casting and kinda where the axle shaft attaches, but not at the axle shaft. Gonna take it in on Tuesday and see whats up. Anybody have this happen to them before?

A.D.D. diff? There's an o-ring there.

There is an oil seal at the CV end of the tube, but other than that, it just bolts on. I can see how it could leak.

Never happened to me, though.

Thanks, that sounds exactly what is wrong with it.Yeah it is ADD. Well the truck does have 106k on it. Sounds like it shouldn't be to bad to repalce then.

Had the same leak on my truck. Pull the shaft and the oil seal is right there. I destroyed the old seal trying to pop it out but it was easy to press the new one back in. Do a search for removing the ADD shaft, it's actually pretty easy.

If you are already pulling it out, then replacing a seal or sealing and tightening the mounting surfaces should be simple.
