its mentioned that clearancing the inside of the knuckle may be required. Is this for clearance to slide it in? Or is it for it to be able to pivot around once in there?

mine slides right in and appears to be fine (with everything disassembled) do I need to grind anything or as long as everything bolts back together am I good?

Also anyone ever have any luck removing sheared off knuckle studs with a drill and ez out? Apparently one of mine backed out and 2 sheared off leaving only one stud holding the driver side together:eek:

I didn't have to clearance anything on mine.

Sorry Terry, didn't see the bottom part of your post. I was able to drill and use an easy out to get my studs out. Key is to be patient and take your time. And use lots of PB Blaster.

I'm pretty sure I used blue on both. Just in case it breaks again.

If you need to get new nuts, Hartville Hardware has both Nylock and Stover locking nuts.
