Some wheels are not TPMS compatible.

I'm wondering why my tire pressure light hasn't come on... I put on new wheels and tires sans the sensors a month ago and the light still hasn't come on. Not to worry, I have my black electrical tape handy when it does, but I'm a bit perplexed.
I know for sure that the sensors are not in the wheels because I didn't put them there.

One of two things. You either have a '05 model which never had the TPMS options Or.. You have your old wheels in your garage, and every night you park there it picks up the signal from the stems. If you park away from your old wheels/tires for more than two nights then your light will turn on.
