Hey guys, quick question, I have a rock light setup right now thats pulling about 18 amps, so I wired them with relays. I want to switch to an led setup, which will draw almost nothing. Will leaving a relay in the circuit draw any extra amps vs just having the led's wired directly to a switch?

thanks

Just to clarify: No relay is needed for LED rock lights correct? Just a switch?

Thanks Scuba. I just ordered the ones from Deal Extreme that were out of stock for so long.

No relay needed. I have IIRC 16 DE LED's under my rig onto a switch, and it pulls less than 2 amps...

The purpose of a relay is to keep the switch from wearing out, and keep thick gauge wires out of the cab. It's such a small draw, that the switch will never wear out, so a relay is not needed
