Ha ha! There's an emoticon on hardlinecrawlers that says woot and cracks me up... Guess I carried it here... Thanks for thinking of me! Woot!

Aaron, don't trash the cab just yet. I can find a good home for it if need be. I hate to see good sheetmetal get the crunch : (

you're gonna love duals and efi!!!!!
Well start looking for someone to take it! There's some rust around the windshield and in the floor at the front seat mounts and is missing one extra cab window. Other than that, it's pretty straight. I figure it'll bring $75-100at the scrap yard. Once we pull what we need off it, It'll just be taking up space.

And yeah, I think dual cases and EFI are going to make a huge difference. Just gotta decide if I want to run SOA ranger leafs with some Toy leafs mixed in or the chevies. Either way should match up with the ruf lift and give me plenty more flex.

It's 1.75"x.120 DOM. I would at least sandwich the floor with plates on both sides and possibly tie the bottom plates into the frame with bushings. I don't think tying into the frame is all that necessary inside the cab portion, but I'd like it in the rear, so why not do it all.

As far as wheeling the hard stuff, I don't see Ashley ever staying in the truck for a 5 rated trail and Weston won't be either for many years to come. My wheeling style is a little different than yours or Daniel's. I'm perfectly happy staying off the 5's when the family is along and I try to stay off the stupid stuff even when it's just me. I'd never take the wife and kid onto a trail where I was seriously concerned I could roll. The cage is for those times that the trail should be doable but a mental error causes a roll/flop.
:woot: sounds like I might be able to keep up with you again :)

I don't think he said he'd be hangin' on the 2s or back at the campground, Glen...

:D
As mean as that sounded someone had to say it. I have been wondering if you were ever gonna have a trail status again. When ya sign up for an event and they ask what trails your gonna be running, is there even a option for "parking lot". :D ;)

Man, I wasn't tryin' to be mean. Just rufflin' old Glennifer's feathers a little :D

Yea, we need an option for "I can't seem to make up my mind or find the time to finish my junk so I usually opt to ride with others... well, until my main trick Dave sold his whip and now I'm down to just the original gangster Big Daddy Daryl and Porky because they always deliver satisfaction on the trail..."

You think you could make that one for me on the next registration??? Surely I won't be the only one in that predicament??? :D

Ok so we need, "parking lot" and a "I'll ride bitch if you have a cool rig" options. I figure for a while I'm gonna need a "screw you guys I'm staying home" option.

Sorry for the hijack Aaron. ;)

And the goal for this evening: Bleed brakes, bolt the 36's up, and take it for a drive around the block. We'll see how that goes..

I would but she's been laid up for the last week. Been hurting pretty bad for a while but now it's gotten worse and the dr's can't figure it out. :(

Dude, no bueno :(

Prayers your way, my man!

Thanks guys. Hopefully it's nothing major. Just sucks to not know what it is. We've done ultrasounds and CT scans with nothing showing up so far. Trying to set up an appt with a specialist this week.

Got the brakes bled and big tires put on the front tonight. Should have the rear tires mounted up tomorrow and maybe get the seats in. Next item on the agenda: heading to the farm for some :saw: :welder:

I'm going to order the steel I need to build sliders and a rear bumper. Planning on stealing Jordan's slider design but with 2x2 legs instead of 1.5x1.5. .120 wall should be fine, right?

Yep, that'll be fine.

I'd recommend the sliders stick out a little further than I did. That'll give more room to tie in an exo or whatever else you want. Plus, it'll help when you get off camber and lean your roofline into stuff. I bet you've already thought of that though.

One more thing I should've done - seal up the sheetmetal better. I wish I had spent more time closing up the openings I made in the rocker panel. It's whatever, though. Maybe sheetmetal doesn't matter to you on this whip either :D

And how's Ashley? Ever figure out what was up? She feelin' better?

I don't plan on an exo, but may want to add some fender hoops tied into the sliders and bumpers at some point. I'll look into sticking them a little further out. Hadn't thought about sealing up the rockers.

Still haven't figured anything out. She has an appt in a couple of weeks. I'm thinking it might be liver or kidney related. She had 2 drinks at daniel's birthday and was completely trashed for the rest of the night with a 2 day long hangover. This is the 2nd time that's happened to her this year.
