I was flipping through the March 2005 4wheel and off-road magazine and saw a killer deal on 15x8 rock crawlers mounted with BFG M/T 33x12.5" tires for only $636 (page 48). I called and asked them if they would honor the price at the shop here in Las Vegas for pick up instead of shipping, and they said that it was a misprint, and quoted me $811 for the package, plus sales tax. This still sounded alright until they quoted me another $140 for mounting and balancing. Seems like bait and switch to me.
It seems like they run an agenda. Typo's are one thing, but this is the second negative run-in I've had with them. First was when I wanted a lift, and they kept trying to sell me the same 6" Fabtech. I didn't want 6", I wanted 3-4". No matter how much I tried to explain what I wanted, they still pitched a 5"+ lift. Finally I left exasperated, and decided to order everything from smaller, internet groups with better customer service.
Its too bad that 4WP's has such poor customer service. I will avoid them wherever possible. I hope that other people haven't have as many problems as I have. Be careful out there. Just an observation! ;)

by law (depending on your state) they are bound by that "misprint". I wound up getting my winch from them by holding them to to one of their "misprint" prices (it seems this is quite common with 4wp). they made $0 on that sale.
