I was just looking and Downey springs are $200 for the 3.5 lift. Has anyone used these? What should i expect for ride quality and do they hold up to the abuse?
How stiff do you think a single spring has to be to lift up your entire rear end 3.5"...?????? You can also just use a diving board, cut to fit, to do the job. Better you go with a leaf pack, wether it be alcan/deaver 3 leaf add on, or a new pack made to do the job right. No, they aren't only $200, but The rumor has it that the 3" AAL break when used. So, good luck, and try a search on here for AAL.

I have the Downey 3.5 leaf pack on my 96 and love em. Yes they were just under 200 bucks and in my opinion, worth every penny. They have been installed for almost a year now and have only settled about an half inch. Yes the ride is a little stiffer but is very bearable. The bottom line is that we drive Toyota 4 wheel drives, not Cadillacs...
