does anyone have an idea or way to get the DTC from a 91 pickup. my check engine light comes on daily and turns on and off while driving. id like to see whats going on with the truck and if there anre any codes stored.

Take a paper clip and jumper TE1 and E1 together in the diagnostic connector on the passenger side inner fender. Then turn the ignition to the on position and then count the blinks to retrieve the trouble codes. I.E. it will blink like 5 times and then pause for a second and then blink like 2 times. Then it won't blink at all in between each DTC. You'll have to watch it all because you might have more than one DTC stored in the ECM.

thanks, next question...who knows what the codes mean? or does someone have a list of what they mean or relate too.

well ipulled the codes and found what they are...22 and 43, looks like I have to do some testing of my coolant temp circuit but the sensors were cheap if there bad so i picked them up today. hopefully I can get it fixed soon.
