2 1/2" single tube is all you need. Just run a magnaflow cat and 2 chamber. Completely legal, not overkill loud and all the size that engine will ever need. Dual would just be a hassle.

This needed to be said again. That and if you want duals you need a V8. V6's just don't sound right with duals. Magnaflows/cherrybomb/glaspacks are not that bad IMO well on my 3.4 at least.

And a loud V6 is just annoying.

No body has pointed out the wicked new way of spelling exhaust?

the only way to make a v6 sound good is to run 3" pipe the whole way. I did it on my 4.3l in my crawler and it actually sounds good. has the rumble of a v8. but all i have is a cheap single pass muffler. no cat or anything to absorb the sound. just depends on what you are looking for. but i have to agree, the dual exhaust thing went out of style a few years ago. just get a magnaflow and a turn down or a complete MBRP exhaust (if they make them for your truck). A mandrel bent exhaust will net you some gains (they may be minimal) but at least there is a purpose other than being loud and annoying.
