i saw a tacoma over this past weekend with a duralast truck box, it went almost all the way to the bottom of the bed instead of like most tacoma truck boxes which stop at the fender well. searching online has led me nowhere...anyone else seen this brand of truck box?

If it had a duralst badge on it..my guess is it was from Autozone

I dont recall the brand but I have seen that type of box on Tacos before. When I got mine the only ones available stopped at the wheel well. It would sure be nice to have the xtra capacity though. Let me know if you find one.

My toolbox goes all the way to the bed floor, it is made by betterbuilt and has SEC on it. do a google search for SEC toolbox by better built.

was it a low profile box?? my low profile box almost goes to bed. the reg/taller box (above the rail) that go that low are expensive, at least from what I've found.

From personal experience- I prefer the shallow boxes over the deeper boxes.
Currently I have a betterbuilt slim- low profile OTR box (bought at Lowes) -
THis replaced a much beeper box I had before.

Deeper boxes may have more volume- but they are so deep - stuff gets lost & its more diffiicult to remove items. Also - the deeper the box- the more space you lose under the box- I prefer having space under neath incase I have to haul something long (ie building materials) -

Its all about usable/accessable space-
When I had the deeper box- I could put a hell of alot more stuff- but when I needed it I had to hop in the bed & go digging for the stuff at the bottom-
Having less storage volume with same amt of gear forced me to organize stuff more efficiently and make.

PLus I really can use the space underneath when hauling 2x4 etc.....
