Easy way to find a vacuum leak?

Anyone know a good way to hep pinpoint a vacuum leak other than just a visual inspection on all the hoses?

spray ether (starting fluid) around the area you suspect is leaking while the vehicle is running. Idle will increase if there is a leak.

Thanks. I've also heard using a small propane torch will do the same but wasn't sure.

Put the truck in a large vacuum chamber and listen for the hiss. It will be very quiet in the chamber and the air will come out of the leak instead of go into it.

Spray carburator cleaner around the hoses and intake system. Starting fluid has a very low flash point and can sometimes be very volitile.

This is the correct tool to use. Do NOT spray explosives into your engine bay while the truck is running.
