painted the chromed SR5 grille while farking wit' 'dem

If this many pictures can't help you determine what awesome quality they are... ...thar's no help for ya :p

but I got 'dem installed and working... so they stay for now.
put in 90/100w bulbs and seem plenty bright...
I do still need to fine align 'dem... as muh current settings are somewhat low and inside
but I'm sure I'll procrastinate that for a 'Lil bit

The corner lamp's fitment suck ballz fer sure...
Fit and finish isn't the importer's best feature

I have the same headlights and corner lights. the headlights fit great, the corners, are not the best but I figure thats because my fenders are dented and not straight.

beam is decent. i really should adjust them more but, it works fine.

pattern isnt quite as good as the stock ones, but they do seem brighter.

Yeah I'm not real positive about the pattern either...
tho' I'm sure I need to aim them better, first, to be sure.

The seller screwed up on my order (their listing ad)
Not only were there multitudes of imperfections and flaws...
Their biggest mistake was that they advertised that these came with high output bulbs.

So after pointing out, with pictures, where the flaws lay...
the seller decided to compensate me some.

$ 20. refund and a pair of HO 90/100w 4300K bulbs (made in Japan)

^ These higher output bulbs really increase the beam brightness !
(tho' I should mention, I do have the upgraded HO bulb harness)

So this import junk cost less then $ 80. to muh door :)

I think they'll work plenty good for what I paid ;)

~just got word that the tail light ebay seller is sending me warranty replacement units
for the defunct tail lights that had first been sold to me~

Look forward to finalizing the changes to muh junk :xpimp:

* will add the pics of the tail lights, as well, when they get here on the 10th

The fit and finish probably suck because they use the same housing for 98-00 and 01-04, even though the shape is different. They probably just change the mounting only...

My only real complaint thus far...
is that the headlight adjusting bolts don't come with some plastic end caps like the originals have...
and I'm not even sure if a socket is made small enough to fit 'deez (or what's supposed to be used ?)
or maybe I just don't own it :(

I thought the adjuster's had some minor play in them (between the housing/surround)
but don't seem to count for much when they're set.

I did find out... if you turn in one of the adjusters too far...
one can pop the ball stud out of the housing surround.
oops... no worries... just pops right back in after unscrewing the adjuster a bit

I had fun figuring 'dem out...
The lack of instructions makes it mo' better :D

maybe a 4mm could fit the adjuster bolt ends !?... http://www.matcotools.com/catalog/product/HA145/HEADLIGHT-ADJUSTING-RATCHET/ :dunno:

I'm sure your on to something...
and I'm curious as to what model requirements have smaller corners

I was thinking they're selling 2wd corners as 4X corners
and maybe that is the screw up ? :dunno:

Meh... I have a pair of oem clear corrners sitting here...
that fit correctly...
Think I'll just take 'dem apart and smoke the lens(s)...
...use those instead.

you got a link to the bulbs and wiring harness you got?

also for the adjuster screws, mine were basically threaded dowel rods with the inside out star bit ends. the only thing i could get on it was vice grips or pliers. I ended up welding a tiny nut on the ends of them so i could get a socket on it. they are like 8mm nuts or something like that.

I'm not doing yer homework foo' :p
But I will help some ;)

HO H4 harnesses can be purchased thru:
...SUVlights.com (currently site is down) ?
...Daniel Stern lighting
...Painless Performance Products
...there may be others... (google knows) ;)

The H4 lights they sent me are the common ricer stuff.
ebay usually affords the cheapest deal. ie: <---
I recommend below 5000K temps unless you like supa blue

Thanks for the tips on the adjuster ends...
tho' I think an IOS 8mm seems too big...
maybe a 4mm ?
Welding that onto the adjuster ends... didn't melt the threads ? :dunno:

You gots to have a BIG pipe to smoke dem lens!
I do ! :D

but all I really need is an oven...
no wait... guess I don't need one...
my house is already equipped ;)

FWIW: The adjustment is actually a 4.5" MM wrench. Find one that ratchets, it will save you at least half an hour.

No problem. Thinking about it, with them being eBay aftermarket they may be a different size bit I know OEM Headlamps are 4.5

I adjusted my OEM & replacements headlamps with a 1/4" drive 4mm socket. Little sloppy though as my 3mm didn't fit at all.

Later.

If only someone would make a nice quality and good looking aftermarket headlight for these trucks. I think the factory headlights is one one the least good looking parts of the 98-00 trucks.

I love the looks of those lights but it sounds like the quality leaves some to be desired. I wonder how they will hold up to the sunlight, i.e. how long will it take them to turn all foggy and yellow looking.

I wonder how these compare to that "Anzo" brand, I think they look about the same.

I do really like the look of those corners, never seen any quite like that for the 98-00 model. Only for the 01-04. How do the corners look at night, without the headlights on?

Have you seen these lights for sale anywhere besides eGay. Im not a very big ebay fan.

I really need some new lights for my truck. Getting tired of these old fashioned "non-clear" looking lenses haha. Plus iv been driving around with a quarter sized hole in my corner marker for about 2 years from a hail storm haha. People up and down the highway had busted out windshields and back windows, cars textured like golf balls, I was driving past them on the highway and only suffered the broken corner light, broken vent visors, and a few dents on the hood and roof, my windshield is already full of cracks and the hail didnt do anything to it. Gota love the taco.
