Well, if you seen my LED Rock Light install, I was pulling wires every which way into my engine bay.
Enough said it was a rats nest of wires, relays and fuses.
Well I tried to clean it up with a Blue Sea Fuse Box 5026, which I had purchased years ago, in the high hopes to use it. (see pic below)

Well this month i did and was not pleased with where or lack of space I could mount it close to the entrance of where all my wires enters the cab of the truck (driver side, near the master brake cylinder).
So... I have opted to do some major rework that I will report on this thread.
First was to find something or things that will work for the space or lack of space.
I opted for another Blue Sea Fuse box, a little smaller but it can handle higher amperage, compared to the 5026.

I purchased the SafetyHUB 150.
Basically this...

It can handle higher amperage... up to 200 AMPS!!!
Of course you would have to use MIDI/AMI Fuses.
THis will handle my LightFORCE HID 170s, my OBA ViAIR and of course my stereo amp (50, 50 and 30 amps respectively).
Then the ATO/ATC fuses for my CB, CB Speaker, Stereo receiver, LED Rock lights.

But now you are thinking, what about your relays....
Well this is what I also bought...(not my pic)
Its a HELLA Relay Box H84988001 (62943)

It can hold up to 4 relays.

Now the COOL thing about this that my other Blue Sea 5026 is lacking is the following.
THe SafetyHUB 150 is IP66 rated... withstand water jets.
The HELLA Relay Box is splash proof (no IP rating).

I have a metal shelf that I found laying around and will modify it to use it as a mount.
I hope to get most of it done this weekend... if the weather stays semi-warm.

waiting for more....:)

I still have not installed my LED lights from Deal Xtreme. I like your weather pack connector setup in parallel.

How do the lights work when seperated? Dimmer? I thought there was a certain resistance needed. It was provided by a certain number of LEDs in series...

The Dick said I cannot cut up my LEDs "willy nilly". Maybe I didn't ask him the question correctly or misunderstood his answer.

You can't cut up the LEDs if the board has them wired in series.

It doesn't matter if you cut them up, they're still in parallel

I know the difference between parallel and series TacoDell.:p

And, never you mind about me and The Dick:lmao:

I guess I'll just start cutting:D

I will be following Tejas' set up.

I am looking forward to see what you come up with. Looks great so far. I hate to see a rats nest of wires under the hood and I am always looking for ways to keep things looking clean.

I still haven't done my rocklights with those leds either, too friggin cold for wiring. I'll be having mine all come up to one power wire, to keep the rats nest out of the engine bay, got enough wires in there as it is. I have one of those blue sea fuse boxes too, I run everything almost everything off of it that needs power, keeps all the fuses in one nice spot :D

I hope the temps get past the 40s today... I hate working outside when it is cold.

Quick note that you can order both items off Amazon.
Plus the HELLA Relay box can mate up to it's sibling, the HELLA Fuse box.
It just slides into place with one another.

My ol 5026 has an amperage limitation of 30 amps max for the ATC fuse.
And overall max of 100 total

The SafetyHUB has a max of 280 amps... more than enough to run what I need and plan for the future (ie more lights and maybe a winch).

I had to order a spool of 2 ga battery cable, some lugs and solder slugs to use.
I thought I had some left over from my stereo install of past cars... I only had an 8 ga... not enough for what I have in mind.
Kinda of a bummer.... oh well.

Well I received some new stuff in the mail.

12-inches of 1/0 AWG battery cable terminated with 3/8 holed lugs
Lugs for 2 AWG wire (3/8 and 5/16 holed)

Some.... been on the hunt for that right piece of scrap metal (since none of mine worked)... found one, cut it... but a house emergency happened (water leak). So I have been working on that the past couple days and into most of this coming week.
I should have some free time to drill the mounting holes and dry mount the stuff today.
If I do that I will post a pic.

Did some drilling and did a prelim look at how it will be mounted on the factory fuse box.

Overhead view and side views for your viewing pleasure.
After taking care of the homestead I will start with the cables & terminals.

SO I mounted and terminated both the fuse box and circuit breaker last weekend (Jan 26) .... it worked :)
As I was looking over the relay box and getting a final length of wire, color I needed, I found out I needed more primary wire....ugh..
all those years of using what I had left over other projects has finally caught up with me.
So this week I ordered more wire @ 25 ft for about $5 and change.
Gotta love DelCity.
Should arrive early next week.

ALL DONE! FInally.....
I will do the write up later on... time to just hang and toss back a beer.
Terminated some pig tails for the relay box

Made some battery cables

Plug and play and I'm done.

So now what.....i will get myself a battery box to replace that factory hold down and the plastic tray under the battery.
But that will be later on.

TD, I already have yours BM'ed as an option.
The only reason I would not mod the factory hold down is my extra positive cable that runs over the holder... for now.

FYI - - for the continued course of 5-s; i bought more stuff.... :)
Battery Terminal Boots that will fit a Military Clamps
I bought the oval, because of the two cables running off the positive side.

Bus-Bar for my non-critical power feeds - LED rock lights, Hood light, etc.
I bought the 20 connecter version that uses push-on tabs for under the hood and a 10 connector version for the inside (Stereo receiver, CB, radar, etc.).

All were from VTE Warehouse.
https://www.vtewarehouse.com/index.php

Note there is a $15 minimum order and the prices are really good for those bus-bars.
