i have a 2004 double cab that is supercharged. when ever i blow a doughnut on the ice or where ever i play a little, the engine will cut out if i am not getting on the gas. whats the deal? does anyone have any advise as to how to fix this? it is kind of embarassing when your truck dies, and you are hotdoggin in front of people.

Just curious if you have any of the fuel mods for the supercharger? If you do, is it tuned properly? Those would be my first things to check. Might want to ask gadget or go to URD.com. He is the supercharger king for the 3.4.

Is your problem similar to this?... "When I am at high RPMs for an extended period (maybe over 30sec) and then I go to accelerate, many times my truck momentarily stalls for about a second or less. This is occasionally violent enough to lock the drive wheels momentarily. Then, for about 5-10 seconds the available power tapers up from about 50% to full power. A good example would be when I'm getting ready to pass someone(therefore I'm running at high rpms), I wait until I get a chance to pass and then floor it." If yes, then follow the link below...

my engine does occasionally cut out for a second when i am at a higher rpm, and i mash the gas, but i figure that i am just shocking the engine. i have a supercharged 67camaro that does the same thing. it hesitates for a second and then the rpms rocket. i find i get more power accelerating if i agressivly get on the gas instead of mashing the pedal through the floor. but it still doesnt explain my stall out when i am blowing donuts. it is almost like i am losing fuel pressure.

i would bet if you get into your dougnuts and get around more than one tip your probably sloshing fuel, i dont remember but i think our tanks dont have a internal sump on them, which means your loosing fuel pressure when gravity from the turn takes over... that would cause it to die.
