A friend has a D44 off of a 79 F250. Has 19 spline outers and needs the Warn hub #for new locking hubs. 20990 will not work. [email protected] or [email protected] .

Thanks for the help

i have that axle under my truck, when i used to run lockouts they fit fine in mine, untill i changed spindles, then they would not seat far enough in to get the ring in the groove, when he puts the wheel bearings on is there a spacer that slides in after the outer bearing is put in, then the spindle nuts go on? if so then they wont work (or atleast im my case), my old spindles did not have the spacer and they fit. I run drive flanges now because i kept breaking the warn lockouts thus breaking my detroit. no problems now with the drive flanges. also with that axle you will not be able to get the snap ring on the axle shaft, and i think it even says that in the warn instructions. if you have any other questions just let me know.

drive flanges are just a solid peice of steel, the outside is splined for the hub and the inside is splined for the axle shaft, they wont break, if they do you have other problems, downside, wheels are always locked in, so make sure you have twin sticks and a balanced front drive shaft if you plan to drive it on the road with them in all the time,. they are easy to install, a quick 1 min if that per side, put flange in, put a c-clip on the axle and pop a cover on the hub and your done.
drive flanges came in the trucks that had auto or full time 4x4 i think, dunno what models they came in though  i just to the guy i buy all my parts from and went through his old parts boxes and got a few, one other thing that you may not think about if you install them, they have a lip that sticks out on one side and the other is totally flat, the lip faces the outside, if you put the flat side out you better have a strong ass magnet to pull them out :D
