Ok, TTORA....Being a Tech for over 20 years, I'm ready to do something.
I'm getting the shop "itch" after working for other people and running shops
I am going to start planning on opening My own shop.Including an off road DEPARTMENT=Fabrication!

It will be a "full service" repair facility including Toyota/Scion/Lexus, Japanese, and even some GM and Ford consideration.
I will be looking close to home in the Webster/Friendswood area = 45 South
For a suitable location or possible "new" construction.

The most important thing for me, Is to hear from all of you and any input/ideas you would want in a Service facility.

Thank You for Your consideration.

custom fabrication is a big thing to me. I can buy and put on my own shit, but I dont have the skillz required to make a lot of my own stuff. As long as you make a quality product at a good price it will do fine. That and keep stuff in stock, when I go to the local shop to buy something and it is not in stock I will go elsewhere or look online and usually find it cheaper. They lose out on that sell. stock is your friend!
Agreed,

I will be gearing more towards repair service and not too much in parts.
I live in the Pearland area and it would be great to have a good quality repair shop near buy. I hope things go as planned and the shop opens soon!
Joe, good idea.. lemme know if i can lend u a hand building the facility ect , few of us in the tx chapter come with a construction background and can get you some decent deals on specific things.
If i were you I would offer along with repair, do upgrades.Like the inchworm adapter plates for the autos or regearing transfercases things along those line, especially differential setups if you good at it. I get a lot of peopleasking about that stuff, due to there lack of mechanical skills or home owners ass.

I know that there is a place in Webster that is vacant, it use to be a tranny shop.but there is a couple of service shops around the area to contend with.

And if you need computer/network help (or running lines) I can help with that :)
Yes in the gearing/transfer/tranny work dept.
I live in that area, and it would be great to have you around. Keep us updated. Like Mitch said, let us know if we can help in any way..

that right there is a winning idea.
I agree 100%, I know I can always use a place to get stuff done on my 4runr, and tundra. Leaguecity/webster would be awesome.
Nasa 1 and highway 3 right across from the Whataburger. I beleive it has 4 to 5 full rollup bay doors, and an access from a side road.

4 bays with an Alignment Rack would be a good Start...
I will keep my eyes open for a place and send you the locations as I find them.Once I get done with these last couple of trucks I have to build, I will have a lot of free time to lend you hand with setup and what not.
Need a name for the shop?

Just getting Home
cool joe !

LOL aren't we all whores when it comes to that. Hey you gotta do do what you gotta do to take care of your intrests. So are you still going to find a spot for your fabrication or is it going to be like a piece of the current shop where you work at that will be designated to you? What ever the case congrats! Hey, enjoy the time off!
It's sweet to have a fello toyota mech/fabricator that can hook us up in the time of need.
Well let me know if I can help you with any parts that you want to put on paper or something. I can model you up or design some parts on CAD and get them in 3D mode then to a print with all the dimesion and weld details. Up in FW TX I helped out this 4x4 shop with some skid plates, TJ gear box protector box design, some bumpers, and some other misc stuff.

Later and GL!
Jose
Grand opening!

Grand opening! :)

Ok, now that I'm home from Cozumel it's time to get this going!
Anyone thinking of buying a new Taco can have me add a lifted/wheel tire combo built in with the payments/financing to get a turn-key off roader!!
Right off the showroom floor. lower interest than most credit cards.
I've done several Taco's,FJ's and Tundra's already and have one dc shortbed left on the lot for everyone to check out.

Looking foward to helping Ya'll.

Thanks,
Awesome! I'll be by later this summer I'm sure :D
