what terminology am i unaware of to find pipe/tube with an ID of 1"

It appears most are measured on OD, or maybe OD with wall thickness, which, not a bad idea, but im using solid 1" round stock for a pivot.

I have found alot of bronze/brass bearing sleeve, but i need steel so i can weld it.

back story in tl:dr - building pumpkin chunkin trebuchet for holloween.

Pipe is measured in ID.

Tube is measured in OD.

So if you wanted tube with an ID of 1" then you would need 1.25"x.120 wall tube, or 1.5"x.250 wall. Also remember that HREW tube will have a weld seam inside and DOM tube will be smooth inside.

That clears up alot.

so some decent pipe with appropriate gussets is what ill use. little bit of slop <.0625 will be ok.

Calculating appropriate counter weight, a smaller 1# pumpkin can get thrown ~275' with a ~15% +/-

video will be soon to come.

sorry its not taco related. only minor upkeep.

Light racing ball joint failed so that goes in tomorrow. New billy 5100 lower bushings thanks to billys lifetime warranty and them failing right at 2yrs. updated 10.9 grade metric hardware for lower shock bolt. new cv axles both sides. hoping for some nitto trail grapplers 33x12.5x15"s, but we shall see. and should probably do an oil change.
