Right now on our 99 4Runner the drivers side stub shaft is starting to have a lot of movement where it slips into the front diff. What would be some of you guys thoughts on what might be causing this and what would it take to fix? Maybe bearings? This diff does have 4.56 in it so I hope I dont have to replace the whole thing. Thanks

Every diff I have seen has this slop. If it is not leaking I would not worry about it. I thought a vibe on the runner was this but turned out to be a rear wheel bearing. Put the truck on stands and run it in 4x4 to see if you can locate exactly where the vibe is from.

I know that this is the place where the vib is coming from. There is no slop on the pass side but the drivers side is moving. I jacked up the front and spin the tire and you can see and feel the stub shaft moving around in the diff.
